We are living a time, where consumption should be thought deeply and profound as an impact on our environment, and we are becoming aware of the impact caused by our nowadays way of living.
The search of the true essence of new products has been a goal towards my professional maturity and a clear concern when launching new collections, and it is today what most concerns me in the design practice now that we are experiencing a global warming caused, in some part, by the indiscriminate use of plastic. The use of truly sustainable materials, such as the sugarcane which is 100% compostable, is essential for me, especially in the disposable tableware sector.
Now more than ever, we will keep working on new designs that respond to new sensitivities towards sustainability, a must that is taking an ultimate place in everyone’s daily life.
Cookplay’s design is an innovative design whose formal language tries to represent beauty and my main aim is to create a sensory relationship between the user and the product. If I have achieved it, if you have noticed that connection, nothing can make me feel more proud.. and it is when I can say that our work is well done.

EKO MATERIAL – SUGARCANE BAGASSE
This sustainable material is 100% compostable and biodegradable, as it is made of natural fibers that came from the waste of the process of extracting sugar from its cane. Sugarcane is a tall, fast growing grass that has lots of material waste after the sugar has been extracted, and this is what makes this material truly sustainable and ideal to be used in the production of disposable tableware.
Moreover, it has a smooth touch and useful qualities as it is liquid resistant, and it tolerates very well high and low temperatures.
It is not necessary to separate it to be recycled, and it will be totally degraded after 90 days in a regular food waste container.
